Protecting bicycle from salt

I am commuting six miles daily between a train station and my workplace using a folding bike made largely of aluminum and stainless steel. Since this is Chicago in the winter, the conditions are harsh. The bike is regularly coated with salty residue. I can rinse it in my shower (folded), but one day's ride and it's salt-city again. This product was recommended to me by the vice president of the company that makes my bike. Thanks!
